Daises

In the times when the world is black
The reassuring light begins to uphold a slight crack
A foul emotion starts its nightly patrols
When the indescribable scent of her hair
Falls into dirt holes
When her eyes flicker
My heart beat beats a beat quicker
But I just fall back into labyrinthine gardens
Picking at broken daises until my courage hardens
Back into reality I go
What truth will my slightly masked eyes show?

In the times when everything is blissful white
Away from the lands of pointless blight
When her voice cascades down my soul
A waterfall of bliss - sweet to drink as a whole
My heart beat beats a beat quicker still
So I escape to the grass on my hill
Where I gaze into the sun's chest
Until my muddy pupils change into a blue so blessed
Back into her arms I fly
Because she deserves everything under the sky.

But what do I do in the times
When the time is not definable as hell or sublime
When all I know is her softly freckled cheeks?
I can't run away into my stability land as she speaks
I can't do anything but sit like a simple child
And wonder at all the beauty compiled.

But when the hold finally lessens
I'll try my best to show her the land
Where there are mile high piles of broken daises
Across the scape, one big strand
I'll teach her the way of my heart, lesson by lesson
'Till she can traverse all my mazes.
